Coastal Carolina Indian Center works hard to constantly add historical articles and original source material to our Research Databases for use by students, teachers and all other individuals interested in delving into the many layers of history relating to the First People of eastern North Carolina. One of the very best sources of original documentation of events surrounding the colonization of North Carolina and its effects on the tribes of this region is the Colonial and State Records of North Carolina (First Series) Here is a description of the book series:
The books were long out-of-print, but were reprinted by Broadfoot Publishing of Wilmington. A new 28 volume set retails for $1,500.00. An open-box set (that has been on display at Broadfoot) sells much cheaper, only $1,000.00 rather than $1,500.00 for the entire series-- a $500 savings! We need these books! We want to pull key information from the Colonial Records to put online into the CCIC online Research Databases, which always have been, and always will be, free to the public. We need the books to be able to do this effectively, though. If anyone is interested in making a tax-deductible donation earmarked for this purchase, you can make a donation online via PayPal* using the button below, your you can contact CCIC via e-mail or by phone (252) 349-3280. Broadfoot Publishing may be contacted at (910) 686-9591. Their website is www.broadfootpublishing.com. Thank you! |
