2009 Great Salt Water Educational Outreach

With around 2,000 North Carolina students....

Elementary and Junior High grades...

Public and Private schools...

From the coast to the mountains...

The 2008 Great Salt Water Educational Outreach was a success across the board!

What a joy it was to be able to bring our program right to the doorsteps of the children, sometimes presenting to several individual classrooms in a school, sometimes presenting to large groups in multi-purpose rooms or media centers!

The kids enjoyed learning about the often untold history of the First People of Coastal North Carolina, complete with documentable facts and stories that their history books don't often cover (or perhaps they just gloss over.) They loved being able to ask questions, get answers, and explore the various "show and tell" items that we bring along for a fulfilling learning experience.

Reserve the Great Salt Water Educational Outreach for Your School

With rising fuel costs being a possible deterrent for schools facing budget crunches as it relates to planning field trips, the Great Salt Water Educational Outreach was designed to bring an interesting and informative learning experience to your school, regardless of whether you're here in eastern North Carolina, or clear on the other side of the state. It is our honor to go the distance in visiting your school and individual class. We believe this will provide a more intimate educational setting for your students that wish to examine a variety of artifacts, ask questions and learn about some of the fun and thrilling facts of North Carolina Indian history.

All students attending this very meaningful educational experience will be awarded the 2009-10 CCIC GREAT SALT WATER Educational Outreach Certificate and teachers will be given the follow-up Great Salt Water Student Quiz Assessment pack.

Please indicate below your preference of month, week, date, time(s) you’d like a scheduled visit to your school-individual classroom as reservations are taking place now. (Allow approximately 45-90 minutes per classroom.)

Please have application request returned to us as soon as possible to insure visit upon your request.

Nya:weh, (Thank you)

Teresa Morris
