Remembering Linda Gurganus

by Teresa Morris, CCIC Founding Director

Tomorrow, May 24, 2008 marks the one-year passing of CCIC friend and Great Salt Water Pow Wow Supporter Linda Coleman Gurganus of Wake Forest, NC. Linda was the wife of Lee (Buddy) Gurganus. Her surviving children are Michael Griffith, Jeffrey Gurganus and Theresa Gurganus.

Linda frequently spoke of the love she felt for her family and the joy “gifted” to her in being blessed as a Grandmother of six precious grandchildren.

She passionately served her country and countless “loved ones” for nine years in Washington, DC on the board for the POW/MIA “You Are Not Forgotten”. Her SPIRIT having passed on Memorial Day weekend 2007 will forever be a living tribute in the hearts and minds of all that were fortunate in having connected with Linda as family members, friends, colleagues and veterans at large. Linda always had the time to respond to a family member with a loved one or a veteran, having been associated with Viet Nam and did whatever she could to insure the dignity of all would forever be remembered.

We miss you Linda! We celebrate your Life and your unwavering and faithful Service.

Teresa Morris
CCIC-President
